London-based specialty robusta coffee chain Black Sheep Coffee has announced plans to double its presence in Scotland by 2030.
The company has partnered with franchisees to cover every region in the country. The latest agreement will see at least ten new stores open in northern Scotland, bringing new job opportunities to the area.
The expansion will reach Aberdeenshire, Angus, Clackmannanshire, Fife, Moray, the Highlands, and Perth and Kinross.
MDM Group Enterprises will lead the development of these new locations. The group is headed by David Moore, who has previously operated Costa Coffee and KFC franchises.
The first store under this deal is expected to open on Union Street in Aberdeen in summer 2025.
Black Sheep Coffee was founded in 2013 and entered the Scottish market in October 2021 with a store at Glasgow Central Station. Since then, the brand has grown to 17 licensed locations across Scotland.
The company recently launched a new iced drinks menu across its 106 stores in the UK. Its UK presence also includes shops in Wales and Northern Ireland. Internationally, Black Sheep Coffee operates four outlets in the UAE, three in the United States, and one in France.
